5 travel tips
One of the things I love so much about traveling is that I feel like I learn so much every time I do it. I spent a long weekend in Naples, Florida for my friend Jen’s bachelorette, and I definitely learned a few good life — and packing! — lessons:
5. Cute luggage makes traveling so much more fun. (My weekender bag is by Kate Spade Saturday and my purse is baggu.)
4. Don’t forget to pack a cute purse for going out to dinner. It’s easy to put a small clutch inside your larger every day bag or carry-on without taking up a ton of space.
3. And speaking of carry-ons, you really don’t need to take a huge pile of magazines on the plane when you might just end up sleeping the whole time anyway. One good book is enough and weighs a lot less (especially if it’s on your iPad).
2. Never go anywhere without stretchy comfy pants. I don’t care if you think you don’t have space or that you’ll want to be dressed up cute all the time, there will be a time when you just want to watch TV or take a nap, and you are going to be so happy that you have comfies to put on. I promise.
And the number one thing I learned about travel…
1. Girls weekends are awesome, but the best thing in the world is coming home to your husband.
