Summer of Ice Cream: East Coast Custard in Fairview Park
Ever since I moved to Cleveland years ago, I’ve been hearing about East Coast Custard from so many of my friends who love it, but for some reason Andy and I had both never had an opportunity to try it for ourselves. Until now. And now we know what the fuss was all about!
We visited the Fairview Park location, which is a walk-up window conveniently located on Lorain Road, with outdoor seating and an adorable mini carousel for the littles. East Coast Custard specializes in frozen custard, which means that egg yolk is added to a vanilla ice cream base, making a rich, creamy and very delicious dessert.
I just had to try a banana split when I saw it on the menu. It was so hot that unfortunately everything was melting on me faster than I could eat it or take its photo, but melted banana splits taste just as good! And this was one good banana split. Can you believe Andy has never had a banana split?! He had a brownie sundae, which he said was also great.
Joey is excited for a return trip to East Coast Custard to get back on the horse that’s just her size!
Rating: 5 bananas out of 5!
