Holiday traditions: the nativity

Every year one of my favorite parts of Christmas is setting up my nativity set. I think traditions like this make the holidays magical. Even though I didn’t grow up in a religious family, at all, my mother would set up this nativity scene every year, and it was a special thing to me to be able to help her.  Now that she’s passed away, it’s something I do myself, and it still makes me happy.

Aren’t the angels the sweetest?  They’re my favorite.  I love their little faces.  And I love that one is playing a banjo.  It’s like a little hippie folk angel band.
