Merry Christmas
We don’t usually post on Tuesdays but since someone (um, me) totally forgot to write a blog post for yesterday… and last Friday… I wanted to pop in today and just say hello and wish all of you the happiest of holidays. I’m assuming a lot of you, like me, don’t really have time these days to keep up on blog posts (I’m sooooo far behind, like my bloglovin feed is at around 800 unread, eek!), so I’m not going to put pressure on myself to be back the rest of the week or maybe possibly even next week, though I may if I have time. However, we have TONS of fun projects on our 2015 to-do list, so we’ll be off to the races in January and would love to have you along for the ride!
On Sunday some of my best girl friends, aka “The Girls,” and I celebrated our seventh straight year of having a cookie exchange party. We do Secret Santa gifts (aka, wine), and everyone makes cookies. I am not a baker. I give huge props to those who have the patience to cream butter and sugar because that is just not for me. But the party makes it all worth it, especially now that we don’t get to see each other very often, and the cookies are pretty darn good too! I think this was our best year yet for cookies! Just look at those! YUM! I made the s’mores cookies on the bottom left, using this recipe from Sweet Paul, substituting the chocolate chunks for chips since I’m not a fan of chunks.
These are the Christmas cards we sent this year… Ruby, of course! We took pictures of her on her very first day with us, because we already knew we wanted her on our Christmas card. (She’s changed so much since then!) I ordered these through Staples and, with after-Thanksgiving discounts, ended up paying something like 18 bucks for 50 cards, whoa! They’re nice quality, too, and came with free envelopes. Something to keep in mind next time you need cards printed (and this is not sponsored!).
So from me and Andy, Ruby, Trixie and Mocha, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you so much for reading Burritos and Bubbly, and we’re so excited for another year of projects!
