I’m up to my eyeballs in projects today so I don’t have time for a real post today, but I just had to stop and show you this amazing thing.

Saturday, Sept. 19, 1891, written on the wall in a bedroom closet.

I don’t go in this closet very often so this is like a surprise every time I see it, and it always stops me in my tracks. I love so much that someone thought to paint around this and preserve it. I love so much that someone in 1891 thought to write on the wall, and maybe someone else again in 1895. Old houses are full of so many wonderful secrets and stories and surprises. Old houses are pretty awesome.
