Vintage-Inspired Home Bar

Vintage-Inspired Home Bar

Now that our kitchen renovation is wrapping up (sort of), we’re starting to think about what’s next. As much as we would love to take a break from projects, we still have a couple of rooms that we haven’t touched at all since we moved in last fall, including our family room. When we first moved in, we thought it would make a good playroom for Joey but now we’ve decided to turn our guest room into a playroom and use the family room as an office and hang out room — with a second TV, a couple chairs in front of the fireplace… and maybe a BAR?! Because every 1960s home needs a bar, right?!

Maybe it’s not practical but I’m allowed to daydream. In my dreams the bar is my own girly escape where the champagne is always flowing and there’s pina coladas on tap (ugh, can you imagine?!). It would be a little midcentury, a little tiki, and of course colorful. I turned to Chairish.com for inspiration, because they have everything I could ever need to set up my own home bar. I was inspired first by these pretty midcentury barstools that have such a unique and interesting shape. From there, I found the amazing 1940s tiki bar (in love!!), some fun and colorful sets of bar glasses, gorgeous sconces for lighting and cheerful art. Plus every bar needs a brass pineapple ice bucket!

All from Chairish: midcentury barstools (I also like these and these) | frosted pastel tumblers with caddy | brass pineapple ice bucket | blue champagne coupes | rattan tiki bar | sconces | cactus art

What would your dream home bar look like?
