Behind the Scenes … Birthday Edition!
Hi guys! Happy Friday!
So yesterday was my birthday. It didn’t get off to the best start when I had a horrible sleep, burned my finger while doing my hair, and burned my lunch trying to treat myself to a bacon, lettuce, egg sandwich.
However, the day turned around 100% when Andy and I went to dinner at Butcher and the Brewer in downtown Cleveland. Wow. Just wow. We weren’t in love with the place right off the bat because we were seated in the middle of a communal table approximately one inch from strangers on either side — not exactly the birthday dinner date night I’d imagined. I think communal tables are so annoying. But as soon as the food arrived, we totally forgot the strangers next to us because it was sooooo good — from my first corn dog ever (for real!); to a warm, gooey soft pretzel with cheese; to a lobster roll full of giant claws; to some delicious, decadent mac and cheese; and finishing with a s’mores brownie that we decided was one of the best desserts we’ve had EVER. Seriously, ever. So if you haven’t been yet, get yourself to East Fourth! And if you don’t live in Cleveland, well, come visit!
Tonight we’re having friends over for our fantasy football draft. It might surprise you, but I love playing fantasy football. Then tomorrow we are sleeping in! Did you hear that Ruby??? Fingers crossed. 🙂
Next week, we’re excited to show you our new house tour and share our decorating plans… the fun stuff. Have a great weekend, friends!
