Inspired by blush pink
Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing this ballet workout DVD for the last week, and it makes me want to pretend I’m a prima ballerina in pink tights. But I keep finding myself dreaming about the palest pink with a hint of peach. It seems like just the right color for these cold wintery days, don’t you think? Kind of like a promise that spring will someday come. Because it will, right?!
As you probably know, our living room is painted pink, but it’s more like Barbie pink, which of course I thought was so much fun when I first did it, and three years later we want a change. I still LOVE our pink walls, but it’s time for a change, even if we decide to maybe just go with a different shade of pink! I like how the pops of blush pink in these rooms is more subdued and sophisticated but still totally fun — as pink should be. I also think it’s a perfect complement to black, white and gold, like in this first room and in our living room.

Here’s a few ways to bring blush pink into your home without committing to a whole new paint job:
This post was inspired by that round picture frame. It’s so perfect. But then I saw that CB2 file cabinet and isn’t it amazing? It makes me want to redesign a whole office just so I can use it. (Don’t tell Andy!)

P.S. Coincidentally after I put this post together, I saw that Rue Magazine announced blush as their color of the month. Great minds!
