About Burritos and Bubbly
Burritos and Bubbly is a lifestyle blog by Andy and Kerry Bindernagel that focuses on home improvement, design inspiration and life of a modern family. We specialize in a colorful, casual, modern decorating style and like to make home design accessible and fun. We believe home improvement goes best with a side of bubbly. And a burrito.
We started Burritos and Bubbly in 2010 when we bought our first house, as a way to share our projects with friends and family. That first house was a registered historic site built in 1890 in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood. At the time we knew nothing about home ownership, had no plans to become renovators and didn’t even own power tools, but we quickly fell in love with the joy of making a house our own. Since starting Burritos and Bubbly we have tackled two major kitchen renovations and gutted multiple bathrooms, have redecorated countless rooms, and are now working on updating our second home — a 1960s split-level in suburban Bay Village, Ohio, which couldn’t be more different from our first house. We might also be addicted to stress.
About Kerry & Andy
We like to say Andy makes things and Kerry makes things pretty. Kerry is constantly coming up with new project ideas and Andy cringes every time he hears “I have an idea!” but he takes her brainstorms and figures out how to make them possible. By day Andy manages multimedia operations for a global news distribution company and Kerry does marketing at a bridal shop. We’re also parents to daughter Joanna Lulu, born in January 2016; Ruby the goldendoodle, age 2; Mocha the cat who looks like a kitten but is 15 years old; and a baby boy due August 2017.
