Andy left yesterday for ice cream school. Yes, it’s a real thing! He is quite an ice cream maker and is hoping to open his own shop, Pints & Pints, focusing on boozy ice creams. Penn State’s Ice Cream Short Course is a well-known and well-respected program that a lot of the best ice cream makers attend. Jeni, of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, and either Ben or Jerry went there, I think.

So while Andy is away at school learning the physics of ice cream (that’s a real class!), I started playing around on Etsy looking at photos of ice cream shops. These signs are so fabulously vintage and really play up to the nostalgic nature of ice cream… But wouldn’t it be just a little better with alcohol?
