Inspiration: pink and red

Sometimes I see a room that just takes my breath away.  The other day I saw these rooms on desire to inspire that were photographed by Stellen Herner of Sweden, and I haven’t caught my breath yet. 

If I didn’t live in an old, dark Victorian house full of old, dark Victorian furniture, this is probably what my house would look like.  Quirky, comfortable, modern and airy with dashes of pink and red… right up my alley.  And is that a flower-shaped floor lamp?!  Oh my goodness.  The contrast of red, white and black in this space looks really fresh, but I am especially madly in love with the black “cut-out” on the wall full of framed art.  I actually might have to copy that.  It’s so good.
