We’re Moving!

I hope you saw our big news on Friday! But for those of you who didn’t … SURPRISE, we’re moving! We bought a new house in Bay Village, which is about 15 minutes west of where we live now. You can see Friday’s post for more about our reasons for the move. Yesterday we took a ton of photos and even filmed a little video tour, so we’ll share that with you as soon as we have finished the editing!

Our new house is a 3-bedroom, 2-1/2-bath split level that’s about 1700 square feet and was built in 1962. One of the things we liked most about this new house when we first saw it was that it’s DONE. There’s no major renovations that we have to do right away, but there are a lot of small projects that we want to do, things that are more cosmetic and fun, like new bathroom tile. The only big reno that we want to do right away is to open up and expand the kitchen to have a big open-concept living room/kitchen. Expect to hear a lot more about that soon!

In the meantime, we’re busy shopping for couches, rugs, light fixtures… so many light fixtures. We’re seriously replacing every single light in the whole house.  Yesterday we made our first new home purchase — this couch — which we’re so excited to stretch out on… whenever we’re able to actually move in. I see A LOT of trips back and forth in our future!
