Color Crush: Melon

I started a “color crush” series a few years ago and didn’t stick with it, but I love the opportunity to be inspired by color. Maybe you’ll find yourself inspired, too. These dark  and COLD days of February (9 degrees tomorrow, seriously???) seem like the perfect time to dive head first into something bright and cheerful.

I’m obsessing over these gorgeous melon-y pinks lately. This color is so good combined with shades of fuschia, orange, and even lavender and blue. It’s warm and juicy and super sweet. You can practically taste it! What do you think of this color?

Have a great weekend, friends, and Happy Valentine’s Day! I don’t think Andy and I have ever really done anything to celebrate Valentine’s Day, especially since his birthday is just a week later, so this year I’m thinking we may just make a nice breakfast at home on Sunday morning — nothing says “I love you” like waffles!!
