Pints and Pints goes mobile
I was going to wait and do this as a full on “before and after” post, but I’m just so excited about this bike I got, that I had to post it immediately.
About a month ago, a friend fo mine posted on my Facebook page that she saw this bike on Craigslist. At first I said, “Yes, this thing is totally awesome, I should get it!” And then I didn’t get it. Last week I thought I should look into it again. I found the posting, emailed the seller, and luckily for me, it was still available. Kerry and I went out to see it over the weekend and bought it on the spot.
The bike itself seems to be in great shape, but the cooler may need a little work. The paint is chipping a bit. I’m not a huge fan of the yellow color. A quick paint job should be able to solve both of those problems.
The real selling point of this bike (even though it probably shouldn’t have been), is the PA system. Not only does it come with a speaker that plays cheesey ice cream tunes, but it has animal sounds. That’s right, animal sounds. Sheep, dog, duck … you know, all the standards. Beyond that, you can hook up it up to an iPhone and play music from that. I’m going to cruise around and play the soundtrack to Moulin Rouge over and over again.
There are a few more steps before I can actually use this thing. I still have to get a mobile food vendor license. Business insurance is also a top priority. Things have been looking good lately, so I hope to be on this thing this summer.
