Dream packing for a fall trip to Italy

I’m home sick today. So that means the couch + lots of Project Runway on the DVR + online shopping + naps. Now that all the fall fashions are coming out, I can’t help but start to dream about what I’ll wear during our big trip to Italy in October. It’s right around the corner! ModCloth is one of my favorite online stores, and right now they have some great pieces that I’d love to put in my suitcase (and wear right now … or at least when I’m feeling better!).

Our first stop in Italy is Venice, where we already have scheduled a private gondola ride. Such a romantic city calls for a super sweet dress in a punchy color, a sweater for cool nights on the canals, and of course a fun pair of heels.

After Venice, we’ll take the train to Florence, where we’ll spend our days touring museums and seeing some of the world’s most amazing pieces of art. Shift dresses are always my favorite go-to, and I love this one in a great fall color with some cute, bright flats. Then there’s this swingy baby blue jacket. Holy moly this jacket! It couldn’t even be more perfect.

From Florence, we travel to Rome, where I can’t believe I’ll actually see the Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. It’s mind boggling to even imagine. But do you know what I’m also super excited about? Pizza! In Rome I want to wear something comfortable yet put together: a top in a cute cat print, a pair of dark skinny jeans, and some flats. This is my favorite everyday kind of outfit.
