Inspiring Entryways

Inspiring Entryways

One of the areas of our house that got a makeover at the same time as our kitchen was our entry. Next to our front door there was a closet blocking some glass block windows that were not only super cute but also provided a ton of light to the long, dark hallway. We asked our contractor to knock the closet out and fix the walls so it looks like it was never there. That means we now have a brand new entryway to figure out what to do with, so I’m looking at lots of pictures of other entryways for inspiration.

What these spaces have in common is a simple bench or table, baskets to corral random things, and mirrors to reflect light and provide the perfect spot to check your hair before you walk out the door. Also, a lot of these spaces are pretty small like ours, so they show that good design and functionality are totally possible in a small space. We have a couple plans for our new entryway now, but looking at these spaces gives me a ton of new ideas. What do you think?
